About SLYCE
Get to know us better.
A brief introduction
SLYCE Madeira Beach (aka SLYCE MB) proudly serves up stone-baked artisan pizza in a contemporary and relaxed setting.
We offer indoor and outdoor dining options, as well as takeout and delivery (call to confirm delivery radius). SLYCE is also a great spot to watch your favorite sports and catch all the big games. And if live music is what you’re into, we’ve got you covered there as well.
SLYCE is an active member of our local communities, proudly supporting several charitable nonprofits along with our own community initiatives that we hold so near and dear to our hearts. We truly believe that when we all do a little, BIG THINGS can be accomplished.

Jack has a long history in Pinellas County. Although born in Michigan, he has spent most his life around Tampa Bay. Before joining forces with Ken Gillespie to launch Slyce Pizza Bar, Jack founded and still operates several construction and development companies in the surrounding counties. Jack is the force behind the Slyce customer experience concept and community outreach strategies. His hobbies are planning the next big thing for Slyce and spending time with his beautiful wife and two lovely daughters.

As the Slyce Operations Manager, Suzanne’s experience in the food business is too long to list, but she was heavily involved in the fast paced growth of the Hops restaurant chain before Slyce talked her into running this start-up pizza bar concept. She thrives on thankless hours and extreme working conditions. While not chasing the American dream, Suzanne spends her off hours trying to get some sleep at her home near Pass a Grille.

Chris manages the digital and visual side of SLYCE, handling website development, graphic design, social media, and online communications. When he’s not working on the next creative project or connecting with SLYCE Nation, he can usually be found playing percussion with local bands, coaching youth soccer, or hanging out with his 9-year-old daughter.
PASSIONATE ABOUT FOOD | PASSIONATE ABOUT COMMUNITY
SLYCE opened its doors in June of 2011 in the beautiful Gulf community of Indian Rocks Beach, FL. From day one, our mission has been simple: to provide exceptional service and amazing food and drinks, served up in an upbeat, contemporary atmosphere where everyone is treated like family.
Driven by the incredible support of our community, we expanded in February 2017 with the opening of our Madeira Beach location. Over the years, we’ve navigated the unpredictable nature of our beautiful coast—including major hurricanes that ultimately forced the closure of our St. Pete Beach and original IRB pizza locations. Through every twist and turn, our passion for great food and community connection has never wavered.
Today, SLYCE MB is our proud home, bringing you the same artisanal stone-baked pizzas, craft cocktails, and energetic vibes you’ve loved for over a decade.
Beyond our dining room, we also bring the SLYCE experience straight to you through our robust catering team. From large community festivals, block parties, and HOA events to backyard birthday parties and family reunions, we keep your guests fully stocked with fresh stone-baked pizzas, salads, and appetizers delivered warm from our ovens.
We always knew we wanted to bring something special back to the beach community where our story began. In June of 2025, we officially launched WYNE IRB in the location of the original SLYCE IRB
WYNE is our chill, coastal wine bar, lounge, and retail wine boutique—completely free of any wine snobbery. It’s a relaxed, welcoming neighborhood spot to enjoy a curated selection of exceptional wines and small plates, or to grab a favorite bottle to go.
Whether you’re grabbing a pizza at SLYCE MB, having us cater your next big event, or hanging out at WYNE IRB, we remain deeply grateful for the ongoing support of our community. We look forward to many more years of serving you!
WE FIND IT EXTREMELY IMPORTANT TO INVEST INTO OUR COMMUNITY BY SUPPORTING LOCAL CAUSES. LISTED BELOW ARE JUST SOME OF THE ORGANIZATIONS WE’RE PROUD TO PARTNER WITH.

In honor of our fallen hero
The Sitton Supreme: A Legacy Close to Our Hearts
Of all the pizzas we serve, the Sitton Supreme holds the most special place in our history. This pizza was created to honor Army Staff Sergeant Matthew Sitton, who was killed in Afghanistan on August 2, 2012, leaving behind his wife and young son, Brodey. For many years, SLYCE was proud to commit a portion of every Sitton Supreme sale directly to Matt’s family to support Brodey as he grew. While that formal donation chapter has come to a close, the pizza remains a permanent fixture on our menu—serving as a lasting tribute to a local hero whose memory will always be a part of the SLYCE family.
The Beach Community Food Pantry: At our Indian Rocks Beach location the first Monday of every month 10% of sales is donated to the Beach Community Food Pantry which is run through Calvary Episcopal Church right in Indian Rocks Beach. We also donate food, with help from our vendors, during Thanksgiving and Christmas to help out with the over 150 families in need.
Philip Bryant Melanoma Foundation: There is both a golf tournament and music festival associated with this foundation that we participate in each year. Beginning in 2019 we will be the main sponsor for the golf tournament.
Love McKinely Organization: This organization works with Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital to improve the resources available to families throughout their course of treatment for pediatric cancer. McKinely, who the organization is named after, is part of our Slyce family. Her parents have been friends with Jack for a long time. Each year there is a charity golf tournament and auction held to raise funds. We support them by donating our time and dinner for the participants and friends who come out for the event. In 2018 there were over 250 people who attended the dinner where they raised over $60K for the organization.
IRB Homeowners Association | Oktoberfest in IRB: Slyce has participated in this event since 2012. The HOA does a great job with bringing in a variety of vendors and it’s always a great time each year.
Action 2000 | Taste of IRB: This event takes place right in the back yard of the Indian Rocks Beach location each November. There are many local food vendors along with fantastic entertainment.
As we open additional locations, we will continue to find local causes and events to help support the communities in which we operate.
